Tim Parker
– Pastor & Missionary –

Hi, Thanks for checking out Set Free Ministries.

My name is Tim Parker and I am honored to be the Pastor of Set Free. After years of guilt and shame that came from the bondage from drugs, alcohol and sex love addiction, God Got My Attention! I gave my life to Jesus Christ. I have survived stage three colon cancer, divorce, financial ruin and attempted suicide. Through it all, Jesus met me right where I was; broken, lost, scared and finally ready to trust Him over trusting me or others.

In 2014 God provided the building that Set Free Ministries is in today. He said, “This is where I want to meet the needs of those that are hurting, scared and hopeless.” At that time, I didn’t know He was still talking about me and not just others. It has been and continues to be a daily walk with Him.  Over the past 5 years He has remodel this old building and at the same time, He continues to renovate my life.  It is still under construction……daily. He told me, “He renovates and remodels what is of value to Him. He will make beautiful what others only see as ugly and useless.”

Every day I continue to struggle with wanting to find my importance by what others think of me. But He says, “I am His and all I ever will need He can, will and already has provided!” To be honest with you, I still struggle with approval and worth but His patience with me is unending. It’s a daily sacrifice of self and following Him. Some days are better than others, but daily, I praise His holy Name!

There is one thing I have learned. He meets you and me right where we are, even with all our junk and brokenness, and gives freely His love, forgiveness and compassion. I honestly don’t know how people make it through this life without Him. Thank God this life is temporary. Eternity with Jesus makes all the difference in this world. He is my strength and hope alone!

Jesus + Nothing = Everything
Everything – Jesus = Nothing

If there is one thing I would like you to know, it is this, Jesus Changes Everything; sometimes on a daily basis and sometimes on an hourly or moment-by-moment basis! Don’t worry about tomorrow, when today is what He has given.  Trust Him with today and when tomorrow comes, trust Him with that too.

Through it all, I have learned that God does not waste pain; He uses it as His hammer and finishing paintbrush! That’s why I love 2 Corinthians 1:3-5. It says, “Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

Have Faith In Jesus Daily And Don’t Worry About The Circumstances. He’s Bigger Than Any Crisis And Always Trustworthy!
Amen? Amen!
