RECOVERY…

“THE SAFE HOUSE” offers Sustained Sobriety…
EVERYONE has times of hurt and struggle in their life at one time or another. “You are not alone.”

Whether you need someone to pray with, to cry with, to counsel with, to coach with or to recover with – chances are you can find that at The Safe House.

THE “SAFE HOUSE is a recovery support group separated by gender  that meets at Set Free on Thursday evenings from 6:00-8:00 p.m. We eat together as family from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m. and than teach and share the balance of the time. This group is a closed group that helps those of us that are struggling with addiction and offers help for their loved ones too through the grace and mercy of Jesus. The journey of recovery can seem difficult but is definitely worth it.

Come enjoy the friendship and caring for those that have felt rejected and abandoned. EXPERIENCE Love, Acceptance and Forgiveness like never before.

THE SAFE HOUSE is not in replacement of your program, it’s in addition to it!

COACHING & COUNSELING…
In Life you will have troubles. At Set FreeMinistries we help by “Counseling the Past, and Coaching the Future.”

Many times things we experience are overwhelming. Marriages start to fail, goals seem to slip and friendships appear dry and unwelcoming. Many times we need a caring ear that will listen and pray over someone’s life. Sharing individually, in small groups or as couples helps us realize we are not the only ones going through these difficult times. Seeking and taking help that leads to Healing is step one. Trust in the Lord to reveal, lead us to repent and then, for Him to restore us is the healing process.

Many in counseling seek help. We seek healing from the one and only true healer, Jesus Christ!

The Bible, GOD’S WORD is the foundation that we establish as our guideline for counseling and coaching.  There is nothing better.

We take one day at a time.  What’s beautiful is the God gives us the opportunity for change every second of every day.  The moment you are taking right now to read this information is fresh and new and has never been before and will never be again.  God gives us the opportunity for a clean slate every second of every daqy of every life.  We just never looked at life that way.  How beautiful is His Love, Acceptance and Forgiveness!

Jesus not only offers HELP, but He offers HEALING.

THE PROCESS…

THE PATTERN – Are you going through a season of spiritual dryness? You’re not hearing from God, and it feels like your prayers aren’t being heard. It’s difficult to concentrate when reading your bible. Your relationship with Jesus isn’t as close as it once was, and you can’t stop the negative thoughts constantly going through your mind. You can find freedom from the chaos.

HEALING not just Help…

Most people do not want a “Hand Out, they want a hand up.”

Beliefs determine Actions which determine Outcomes. God guides us and we follow His lead.

PRAYER – PRAYER is the KEY to CONNECTING with GOD.  A.S.A.P. ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER.  When we put prayer first in our life we have put God first in our life.  When prayer comes last, so does God.

If you’ve lost a loved one and are having a hard time with the grief, know we are here to help you through the deep hurt of loss. JESUS LOVES YOU… and so do we!

CARE and COMPASSION…
Jesus calls us to love others. Even the people who are angry, depressed, or in need of grace and mercy. As a matter of fact, many times, we are just those people. Set Free Ministries encourages you to reach out and accept the love that Jesus offers in your own life first and then share this love with others   It will benefit your own personal life and equip you to be more effective in helping friends and family who are hurting.
THE ADDICT’S PRAYER

Don’t lose your patience with me, don’t scold or curse or cry, I can’t help the way I’m acting, I can’t be different though I try.

I’m confused beyond your concept, I’m sad and sick and lost, all I know is that I need you, to be with me at all costs.

Do not ask me to remember, don’t try to make me understand, let me rest and know you are with me, kiss my cheek and hold my hand.

Just remember that I need you and that the best is yet to come, please don’t fail to stand beside me and love me while I’m numb.

There’s good and truth within me, though actions scream and shout, a different story about me, I’m full of hope and doubt.

Just one more thing I’m asking, continue to pray and believe, that God will hear my prayers, and change what I believe.

These drugs and drink still tempt me, though no longer will have their hold, I’m trusting in the process, of faith, and love, and hope. Thank You Lord Jesus …
