It’s Never Too Late to Seek Help!

Drug and alcohol abuse are a common problem today. Just like any addiction, it’s a problem that you cannot solve on your own. Treatment can provide you solutions, but you must want help and healing.

Fighting addiction is hard, but the effects are worse. It has negative impact to your spiritual, physical and mental well-being. More than that, it also affects families and friends, hurting the people you love and care for the most.

The Good News is that it’s Never Too Late.

Once you admit you have a problem, you are on your way to recovery. Your addiction can and will be beaten and healed in Jesus’ Name.

Addiction…

For much of the worlds counseling and treatment of Alcoholism, Opioid, Substance Abuse and Sex Love Addiction the goal is abstinence; the behavior of “Not Using.” But at Set Free Ministries, we believe that our Actions are a result of our Beliefs and our Outcomes are the result of our Actions.  Instead of changing our Actions (not using), we believe in identifying our Beliefs by looking into the Patterns of our past Actions. When our BELIEFS change (drinking is wrong for me, not i’ll be able to drink like a normal person) so will our Actions.  Good actions don’t lead to good beliefs (otherwise we wouldn’t be having the problems we’re having) Godly Beliefs lead to good actions!

Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few weeks or months of the worlds counseling treatment. For these, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, Opioids, other Addictive Substances along with unhealthy sex or love beliefs, better health, and improved social functioning, but this is only “behavior modification” with relapse waiting just around the corner. For many this is the story of their life; for some, the rest of their life. PAIN… HIT BOTTOM… SEEK RELIEF… GO DO… FEEL GOOD… GUILT & SHAME…. MORE PAIN…

At Set Free Ministries, Recovery and Maintenance are not just about HELP but about HEALING, not about TEMPORARY but about PERMANENT. With GOD’S HEALING all things are possible.

We believe: John 5:6When Jesus noticed him lying there [helpless], knowing that he had already been a long time in that condition, He said to him, Do you want to become well? [Are you really in earnest about getting well?]” and John 8:36 So if the Son makes you free, then you are unquestionably free.” These are foundational statements of fact  that direct our counseling.

We offer guidance and fellowship with others who are struggling with some sort of substance abuse or broken and battered souls through Elements and Celebrate Recovery programs that are centered around 12 step programs and meetings. JESUS CHANGES EVERYTHING! Please call so that we can discuss a different and permanent way for the struggles associated with alcoholism.

Dual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. At Set Free Ministries, we treat those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder through Christian Psychiatric Treatment to address the person’s mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

When sick we find treatment for our illness.
• Physicians and nurses treat the sick Body.
• Psychiatrists and psychologists treat the sick Mind.
• Pastors, Chaplains and Christian Counselors treat the battered or sick Soul.

At Set Free Ministries, we experience HEALING in the mind and body once the Soul has HEALED.

Come see the difference JESUS makes when we place Him First and Foremost in our Life, instead of trying to fit Him in like a Genie in a bottle who fixes our problems. GOD LOVES YOU… and so do we. Please give us a call today at (480) 353-1125.
